A Labor of Love (and Wiggles)
Hi, I’m Robin Bowman—dog mom, pit bull enthusiast, and creator of the Wiggle Saver™ Tail Protector, a solution straight from the heart (and the sewing machine) designed for real dog tail injury protection.
Over the last 20 years, I’ve had the joy of loving two incredible pit bulls who brought endless tail wags—and, unfortunately, endless tail troubles. If you’ve ever dealt with Happy Tail Syndrome, you know the struggle: painful injuries, stressful vet visits, and blood splatter that somehow ends up everywhere. I tried it all—gauze, Ace bandages, pool noodles, plastic contraptions, and even the dreaded cone of shame. Nothing worked. My sweet girl Layla kept hurting herself, and I was desperate to help her heal.
One day, I sat down at my sewing machine and decided to take matters into my own paws. After three prototypes (and a lot of hopeful tail wags), I created something that finally worked. Originally called the Happy Tail Harness, my creation evolved into the Wiggle Saver™ Tail Protector—a comfy, clever, and totally potty-friendly way to help pets heal without giving up their wiggles.
Since launching on Etsy in 2023, I’ve helped 139 female dogs and 62 male dogs stay safe, wag happily, and finally get the relief they deserve. Recently I have added a cat design (47 Sold) to help playful kitty’s keep their tails safe and secure.
Because to me, this isn’t just a product—it’s a promise. A promise that every tail, no matter how hard it wags, deserves protection, healing, and a whole lot of love.
